"Guided Bus Tour, morning Tour starting at 08.30 – please ensure that you are there
15 minutes before the departure
time.
From here the coach departs for a trip to the North of the Island (Cirkewwa) from where the ferry to Gozo will be embarked.
Gozo, the sister Island, is a typical Mediterranean Island which is greener and generally more relaxed than Malta. The tour includes a relaxing 30 minute ferry crossing with continuous panoramic views of the islands.
At Gozo’s main harbour one can immediately see the influence of the Knight’s of St. John with the imposing Fort Chambray, built with the intention to copy the city of Valletta.
Our first visit is to a world heritage site, Dwejra.
At Dwejra one finds the Azure window and the Inland sea, a natural closed sea with sea water seeping thru the cliffs.
Other interesting sights include the Blue Hole which is a popular diving site and Fungus Rock.
After Dwejra it’s a visit to Victoria (Rabat), the capital of Gozo, and an energetic walk around the fortified Cittadella Fortress. Free time is allocated in Victoria and students can enjoy one of the many café’s found in the Town squares.
The second half of the tour takes us to see the mythological Calypso Cave
situated on the North Eastern coast of the island.
The remainder of the afternoon is spent on the nearby red sandy beach known as Ramla
where swimming or sunbathing is usually irresistible.
We normally take the 16.30 ferry back to Malta where our coach will drive us back to Sliema in time for Supper."
